My exciting Journey to US!!

After a long fight in TCS for my release finally my manager approved my project for Columbus, OH. A rocking moment for me 'Chalo America'. Time to spend some money on shopping. This was the first time i was sitting in a flight and that too in an international flight. Since TCS aims for most cheap tickets available for the route the journey that was supposed to take 18 hours took 32 hours with two stops.

My first stop was Charles de Gaulle International Airport. This was the first international airport i have seen in my life. I was really excited to watch the airport from inside. A bus came to take us from one terminal to another. This was a huge terminal with lots of food and beauty shops. My next flight from this airport was after 8 hours. So after sitting there for about 4 hours my empty stomach started making some noises. I had some cash in dollars with me. I didn't knew that all the airports accept dollars. So i went to money exchange booth and got some Euro in exchange for my dollars. Now the next big task for me was to find some veg food. After going through some shops i found a small veg sandwich. I knew that one sandwich will only act as a starter so i ordered 3 sandwiches and a coke. I spent next 3 hours on the airport sleeping before checking in my second flight to Atlanta.

My second stop was Hartsfield - Jackson international airport, biggest airport in the world today with over 80 Million passengers going through the Airport each year. Now since this was the second international airport in a day i was not that excited to watch airport from inside. I arrived at terminal A and i was supposed to reach terminal B. Since i was coming from Delhi i could have never thought of a tram running inside airport to reach another terminal. After roaming for about 1 hour inside the airport looking for terminal B i thought it would be better to check with customer service. And finally i came to know about the tram services. My next flight from this airport was after 4 hours. So after taking a small nap i was there in my final flight to Columbus.

The last stop of my journey was Port Columbus International Airport. It was a domestic flight from Atlanta to Columbus. I was really tired with such a long journey and wanted to have some hard drink. So i ordered a Heineken beer and some peanuts. When we were about to land in Columbus air hostess came to me and asked $5 for the beer. I was surprised as nobody asked me for any money in my previous flights. So i asked her that do they charge everything in domestic flights and she told me that only hard drinks are charged. I finally arrived at Columbus at about 11:30 pm EST. When i reached the baggage claim area i found three Indians standing over there and it didn't took a moment for us to recognize each other. Finally i was there in US to make all my dreams come true.
